Net.

(Flight Plan),
" Two staff members of the flight crew (the security guard, Carson, and another flight attendant, which I think her character's name is Stephanie) kidnap the child, after killing the father as well back in Berlin; as part of a big and manipulative scheme to steal millions of dollars and get away with it... by framing Kyle (Jodie Foster's character) with the act.
The scheme, if so, goes as follows: Carson and Stephanie first make sure Kyle would be in an unstable situation while on the plane, thus making her a convenient suspect of the alledged hijacking. In order to do so, Carson kills her husband, David ("He didn't fall, he flew!", as quoted by Carson in the final act), and while on the plane back to New York with his body, messes up with her condition even more: With the help of Stephanie, he hides her daughter, Julia, as well as erasing any evidence that the kid was once on the plane (while, as stated earlier before, she was actually hidden in the the aeronautics room all along). After paying a decent bribe to the manager of the morgue back in Germany, Carson also manages to sneak explosives into the fathers' coffin, so it will be easier for him to blow the plane up (with Julia and Kyle still on it) and erase any trace that could lead back to him. This also supplies an additional reason why David was killed off: airport security does not check on dead bodies flying from place top place, so it was easier to smuggle explosive devices with the help of the corpse.
After all these are set and done, Carson just has to sit back and enjoy the show: loving mother Kyle will than search the plane for her missing child, and create a fuss around there, leading innocent bystanders to believe she has a secret motive. After convincing the pilot of that as well, all Carson is left to do is to tell the Captain (the always lovely Sean Bean) that Kyle is indeed a threat, and that her all "looking for missing daughter" panic was just an act, when in full life she's just looking for the money.
He made it look like Jodie Foster was crazy by hiding the daughter and having the right people in on the plan to confirm she was crazy SO that he could tell the pilot that she was demanding a $50 million dollar ransom from the airline (that he was actually getting) or she would blow up the plane. She was too smart though, and knew she was not crazy. So she turned the tables, of course, and outsmarted the bad guy and blew him up with his own explosives. And everyone felt stupid, including the audience for paying to see this movie. Hopefully you will not waste the money if you have read this. They show you the first hour and 10 minutes in the trailer."
