Job Purpose:
To perform onsite Information Technology support for bank offices in Almaty and other branches, Kazakhstan
Support Voice Network infrastructures in accordance to business requirements and in compliance with standards and processes.
Job Background/context:
Responsibility for implementation and support of the Kazakhstan telecom infrastructure covering Kazakhstan Back-Offices and branches.
Daily support of users, applications and Information Technology infrastructure in bank Offices located in Almaty and other branches, Kazakhstan.
Key Responsibilities:
• Single point of contact for Business users in Almaty and other branches with regards to technical problems
• On site support of users, in addition to support, provided by centralised Support Teams
• Deployment of Windows servers, Windows desktops, scanners, HP network and local printers, faxes, Cisco IP telephones, Cisco network switches and routers
• On going support and maintenance of technology infrastructure in Almaty and other branches according to policies and procedures
• Working with Regional Network and Voice Engineers to provide full solutions and support to the business.
• Vendor management, coordination and negotiations with regards to technical services, provided locally in Almaty, according to policies and procedures
• Interfacing local governmental structures with regards to local clearing
• Working closely with other departments in Almaty and other branches to ensure successful support of existing environment and new projects and installations.
• Provide ongoing technical support of voice environment
• Assisting remote support teams in troubleshooting of local problems
• Fully complying to all security policies, engineering standards, project management processes.
• Perform other actions in line with job objective
Knowledge/Experience:
- Higher education
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Information Technology support area. Experience in supporting highly demanding business is a plus for successful candidate.
- Good working understanding of traditional Network technologies and Hardware (Cisco, AVAYA).
- Familiarity of banking environments or equivalent (major ISP, systems integrator or global enterprise)
Skills:
- Upper-intermediate English!!!
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office family of products.
- Microsoft Windows Server administration skills is required
- Excellent understanding of core Cisco products
- Good understanding of traditional telephone based on AVAYA platform
- Familiarity with routing protocols.
- Familiarity with firewalling technologies.
- Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and other common network protocols is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certification is a plus. MCSE is an advantage.
- Cisco/AVAYA Certification is a plus
